What is a blog?
A blog is a place for someone to provide new information on a regular basis. These updates, known as posts, are put into different categories. What separates a blog from any other page on this web site is that you, the viewer, can post comments. For example, one of the categories in this blog is ‘Product Reviews.’ If I review a particular computer, and you disagree (or agree) with something, you can add your comment. Then when anyone else views the post, they see what you added in addition to my original information.

How does it work?
First I need to post something, we will call this an article. This article will show up under its respective category. For example, if the article is about how to protect yourself from viruses, it would be found in a category called ‘Security.’ The articles will show up in a list; each one having a title and summary displayed. If you find one you would like to read, click its title. Once on this page you will see the entire article and any comments a user has posted. If you would like to post a comment, simply fill out the form at the bottom of the page. It will ask you for your name, email address, and your comment. I will get alerted that you wish to post it, and as long as it is appropriate, it will be attached to that article. If you choose, the blog will email you whenever someone else adds a comment, that way you stay up-to-date.

Why do I have a blog?
I have created this blog as a public service. There will never be a charge to view any information found in it. This will be a place for me to post items which I feel the community would like to know. There are links to free software to help protect your computer, product reviews to help you make decisions, and other information and helpful tips. If you feel there is a topic or item which you would like to see in the blog, contact me and I will include it. I try to write in a way that everyone can understand, so you do not have to be technically savvy to take advantage of this service.
