Default Router User Names & Passwords

This article is found in: Security

If you have lost your router’s documentation and now want to tweak your router, you will need the following user names and passwords.  If you have ever changed the password, this will NOT work.  Your only option is to set the router back to it’s default settings by holding in the little reset button often found on the back or button of the router.  This will erase any changes ever made to the router and the passwords below will work.

This first word listed is the user name and the second is the password.  [Blank] means to not type anything.

Belkin
[Blank] [Blank]

D-Link
admin [Blank]

Linksys
[Blank] admin

Netgear
admin password

If I do not have your router listed, try all of the above combinations.  A lot times one will work.
