Desktops Versus Laptops for a College Student
Packing for college can be a very difficult and time consuming activity. You need to know how much room you will have, what you need to bring, and what you want bring. For most of the items you can simply browse through a list your college provides for you or one of the hundreds found online. It becomes difficult when you get to the item on one of those lists labeled computer. So many questions come to your mind, especially if you are not a computer savvy person. “The first decision that must be made regarding a student computer is whether to buy a desktop or a notebook system” (Tips).
Desktops are the most common form of computers, found not only on campuses but also in offices, libraries, and homes. This type of computer includes “horizontal desktop models as well as mini-tower and tower models that can stand vertically” (College); in other words, any computer with a box that holds the hardware and is separate from the display.
