Fix: Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings

If this does not help…

Click Start > Run
Type: ‘rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf’
Restart Windows (you must do this step)
Click Start > Run
Type ‘cmd’
Click ‘OK’
Type ‘NETSH FIREWALL RESET’
Go to the Control Panel (Start > Control Panel) and double click ‘Windows Firewall’.  If you do not see ‘Windows Firewall’ click ‘Switch to Classic View’ in the top left corner of the Control Panel.  You should now be able to configure Windows Firewall’s settings.

    Thank you so very much. This fixed my firewall problem. Going to the windows website is like looking for a needle in a haystack. This fixed it with minimal effort.

    Thanks, It works. after restarting windows, "netsh firewall reset" in cmd. it’s okay now.

    OH great finally fixed it
    I almost had to go buy windows 7 cos i couldnt fix it but i didnt want to stop using xp cos ive had it since i made the wheel thanks alot
