Top 6 Reasons Why Frames Are Bad

Up until the tern of the century frames were the greatest thing since HTML. Since then, they have become obsolete and more harmful then helpful.

Frames were introduced by Netscape in 1996 and later adopted by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and other browsers. The idea was to find a way to easily have a navigation, or other element of layout, carry through a site without having to “copy and paste” it. It also allowed for updating only one file instead of every page in your site.

I have come up with a comprehensive “Top 6 List” of why frames should not be used by web designers, and then listed some alternative solutions.
