Windows XP Black and Blue Screens of Death
After the replacement of Windows XP for Windows 98 and Windows ME, everyone thought the “Blue Screen of Death” would be gone. The old one is, but it has been replaced with something much more serious.
Windows XP has 2 different error screens which crash your computer. The easiest way to tell the difference is the color of the background. Most computer will flash this screen very quickly and then automatically restart your computer. This prevents you from reading what the actual error is. I am not sure why Microsoft did this but there is a solution. As your computer turns back on, press the F8 key on your keyboard and you will be brought to a list of options. Choose “Do not auto restart on system error” and load into Windows. Now you can see the error.
